Are you stressed? How effective are you when you are stressed?

Some amount of stress can be healthy and motivating. Too much shuts down our brain, depletes our energy and hurts our body. I call this level of stress Toxic Stress.

We forget how stress is manifesting in our lives - it affects our physical, emotional and mental health and impacts our important relationships.

Are Some People Wired to Handle Stress?

Have you ever noticed that some people handle stress differently than others? If someone is calm (not just looks like they are) in the midst of chaos, how do they do it?

This was just what a client asked after suggesting that her husband see me. He was attending Court Reporting School and although a smart guy who was dutifully studying and practicing, he was not progressing through his timed exams. The sooner he finished his program, the sooner he could start making money.

During our first BodyTalk session he discovered he was only accessing half of his brain's capacity. The session connected lines of communication deep in his brain related to how he processed information and his speed of execution. With a new profound sense of calmness, he passed his next test easily. In the next two sessions, he addressed his perfectionism and how it was holding back his learning.
